Gb18287-2013 is mainly tested from the aspects of electrical performance, environmental adaptability and safety performance. Electrical properties include: 0.2/tA discharge, multiplier discharge, high temperature discharge, low temperature discharge, charge holding capacity and recovery capacity. Storage performance, cycle life, internal resistance. Environmental adaptability includes: electrostatic testing, constant heat and humidity, vibration, free fall, low pressure, high and low temperature mold shell stress, safety protection performance, over charge protection, over discharge protection, short circuit protection. Safety features include: heavy impact, thermal abuse, overcharge, forced discharge, short circuit, mechanical impact, temperature cycle. One of the safety performance of the larger changes, which is for the majority of battery manufacturers have been relatively headache.

 

Compared with GB/ t18287-2000, the new standard GB/ t18287-2013 has been modified in low-temperature discharge (low-temperature performance), over-charge protection, thermal abuse (thermal shock) and other test items. To increase battery capacity, battery companies have had to use thinner membranes, so most batteries don't pass the old standard thermal shock tests.

 

Because of the limits of the new standards, power batteries are virtually off the table because lithium iron phosphate batteries have a low energy density and are not suitable for mobile phone batteries. In fact, lithium iron phosphate batteries are so powerful that new standards may be drawn up that are closer to the old ones.
